Hey, you, haiku! We’re back for the last week of the A to Z Blogging Challenge, and today we have a haiku that refers to something that starts with the letter U. This time it’s not a word but a phrase, with a common three-letter abbreviation beginning with U. This is an odd one; I know what it’s called because I don’t know what it is! Can you guess the term? The truth is out there. Mulder and Scully would be so happy with this haiku although Scully would probably put your UFO down as a weather satellite.

I’m one of those skeptical Scully types. I love the version of the X-Files poster with the UFO and the slogan, “I want to double-check.”

Must confess, I didn’t figure it out until your clues. Maybe that makes me a non-believer. I think it just means I haven’t investigated it enough. For a simple mind like mine, there is plenty of unexplained phenomena in this world.

UFO = Unidentified Flying Object. It just means we haven’t figured out yet whether it’s a weather balloo or an experimental aircraft or an unusual cloud. I write fantasy; I don’t believe it!
