So many textures when you look closer-spikes of course, then the glossy leaves, the spherical droplets of rain, the tender red shoots which look so fresh that they would snap crisply, the woodier, almost leathery older shoots, the fresh air, the sunshine in the rain…I can feel it. So much there, once you look a bit closer! Great.

Beautiful! We wanted holly bushes by our porch — the kind with prickly leaves and red berries. The nurseryman, who really knows his stuff, said there was only one like that suited for our area. After seeing yours, I’m going to examine ours after the next rain.

After rain is a great time to photograph plants. The drops make them look so fresh and alive!
