I take lots of cloud pictures, and I’m happy to share another one. This is the view to the east at sunset, with the last rays of the sun making some clouds glow while others are already fading to black. The colors are vibrant and the textures make me think of impressionist oil paintings. I hope you enjoy it as well.

Your photo is lovely. My cloud pictures are never as pretty as in person, so I try to be at my computer toward dusk to see the free show in the sky.

I get no decent view of sunset or even clouds from home, where I’m down in a bit of a hollow with lots of trees. Most of my cloud pics come from the lakeside where we keep our boat, or parking lots. This was a parking-lot shot. I envy you the chance to watch sunsets comfortably!

I wish you could come watch some sunsets with me. We used to live among tall trees on the wrong side of a big hill, so we never saw sunsets from the house in NY. That’s probably why I love to see them here — making up for lost time.

One of these days, I’m going to find someone who is near enough to come.
