S Haiku #atozchallenge

We raise our voices
Marrying words to music
In sadness or joy

Welcome back for another week in the A to Z Blog Challenge! Every day in April (except Sundays) is assigned a letter of the alphabet, and participants post blog entries related to that letter. My posts are haiku puzzles. A haiku is a tiny poem, three lines with 5/7/5 syllables on each line, and I’ve written a haiku that suggests a word starting with the letter of the day. Since the letter assigned for today is S, that means the little poem up above should suggest a word that begins with S. Actually, there are several versions of the word for today, all based on the same root, and they will all work. In fact, if you come up with a different S word that fits the poem, you still win! Once you have an answer, post it in the comments. I look forward to seeing your responses!
