T Haiku #atozchallenge

Time is relative;
So are dimensions in space.
It’s bigger inside!

We now begin the final push in the A to Z blogging challenge. One more week! Today’s puzzle should be an easy one for anyone who is connected to the science fiction/fantasy world. This one’s not about a character or a place but a vehicle. It’s not a word, actually, but an acronym. Know what I’m talking about? Tell us in the comments!

S Haiku #atozchallenge

Shimmering circle,
Seven chevrons encoded,
Gateway to the stars

I didn’t mean to break out in alliteration for today’s entry in the A to Z Blogging Challenge, but that’s how it came out. It’s another puzzle haiku, where you have to figure out what word from science fiction and fantasy that starts with S is suggested by the puzzle. This one is the name, not of a person, but a device, a piece of alien technology harnessed by humans to explore the galaxy. Once you know it, tell us in the comments.

Tomorrow we have a break in the A to Z schedule, but then we push straight through without a break to the end of the alphabet and the end of the month. See you Monday!

Q Haiku #atozchallenge

He snaps his fingers,
And with limitless power
Plays games with starships

Here’s today’s haiku puzzle for the A to Z Blogging Challenge. As usual, figure out the word suggested by the haiku that starts with Q. It’s a difficult one, I’m afraid, but Q is often difficult. If you’re a fan of the SF universe we’re in today you should know the name of this character. Well, not really a name; its the designation of all the beings of this kind, but it’s the name we use for him. And it’s not really a word, either. Sort of a minimal word. Anyway, if you do manage to figure it out, good for you! Let us know in the comments.

O Haiku #atozchallenge

Yes, they’re big and mean,
Standard fairy-tale monsters –
But Shrek had a heart.

Welcome to today’s haiku puzzle for the A to Z Blogging Challenge. Your job is to figure out the word relating to science fiction or fantasy that starts with O, and that is suggested by today’s haiku. This one’s not the name of an individual, but a general term for a type of creature. Got it? Tell us in the comments.

N Haiku #atozchallenge

Computer hacker
Fights agents of the Matrix –
But is he the One?

Welcome to the second half of the alphabet in the the A to Z Blogging Challenge, and back for more haiku puzzles. Each day, find the word from fantasy or science fiction that starts with the letter of the day and is suggested by the haiku. This one is asking for the character’s handle, the name he uses as a computer hacker, which turns out to be the way he’s known to those who want his help against the evil Agents of the Matrix. Is he the One? Watch the movies to find out, and let us know in the comments what the N word is.
