I’m doing the Blogging from A to Z challenge this year for the first time, which means I will post 26 days in April (that’s every day but Sundays) with a message that relates to the letter of the day. You don’t have to have a theme, but if you do, today is reveal day. Here goes!
Are you ready, folks?
Once a day, there it will be,
Just a silly verse.
It’s only three lines,
Just 17 syllables,
But it’s so much more.
A haiku puzzle
Paired up with the alphabet—
It’s gonna be fun.
Will you be the first
To figure out the puzzle?
We will wait and see!
So that’s my theme, folks. Each day I’ll post a haiku that describes or relates to something associated with the day’s letter. The challenge will be for you to identify what the haiku is about. Sometimes it will be ridiculously easy, other days I may miss the mark entirely and nobody will have a clue what I’m thinking of. We’ll just have to see how it goes.
By the way, I’ll keep posting my usual messages in April as well: the photo challenges, flash fiction entries that might occur, Insecure Writers Support Group messages, and so on. If silly haiku puzzles are not to your interest, just ignore them. The usual blog content will still be there.
Oh how fun! I’m really looking forward to your posts.

Now I’m nervous about what a Ninja will think of my Haiku! But I’m sure it will be fun. Thanks, Nilanjana.

So glad to see a “fun” theme. Not that the other themes are not great, but I love riddles and puzzles so I will have to check back to see what you write! Will the answer start with the letter for the day? Anyway, this is my first year participating as well, but I didn’t do a theme. Anyway, good luck fellow newbie! Cassie from Mommy, RN

you got it, Cassie! The word that each haiku relates to will begin with the letter of the day. I hope to see you solving the puzzles – starting on Friday! Welcome to the A-Z challenge, and I hope you enjoy blogging each day.
