    • Wow, I’m so old school! I’ve read lots of books electronically (including War and Peace, because the paper book was too heavy to lug around), but that didn’t even occur to me while I wrote this haiku. Maybe think of it this way – These Books Here (the ones on my shelf) are only paper – even though Those Books There (the ones in my e-reader or the audio CD) are digital patterns. Does that help?

Anyway, you got what I was thinking of Well done! Thanks for visiting.

  1. That’s all? I’d say that’s plenty. Books are always enough!

To quote Doctor Who: “You want weapons? We’re in a library! Books! The best weapons in the world!” (from Tooth and Claw)

Your first thought was the best thought. Well done.

    • I’m not as diehard a fan as I should be, but I love that quote!
Yes, Books of course, but the innovator in me has to think of others – magazines, newspapers, the Declaration of Independence, The Emancipation Proclamation, love letters, a last will and testament…

      • Words. Words are the world’s best weapons. No matter how they’re written. And really, though I love Doctor Who, I’d never say you or anyone else “should” be a fan. You do you.
